Rick entered the real estate world and has been a licensed agent/ broker since 2007. Prior to that time, he spent 20 years in the telecommunications industry.
Rick has always had a servant’s heart, with a strong desire to help others and benefit his community. He previously served his city as a three term City Council member, and as the Chairman the Planning & Zoning Commission for over six years.
In addition to his duties with Magnorum Realty, Rick serves as the designated broker for American Real PM Services, a property management company with over 350 rental properties in the Houston and Dallas metroplexes.
Rick has been the Executive Director of the Rowlett Housing Finance Corporation (HFC) since January 2019. The HFC’s mission is to provide safe, affordable housing as a foundation for a meaningful life. The HFC provides financing for federal tax credit housing for lower to middle income families. They also provide several first time home buyer programs, down payment assistance, mortgage credit certificates, and lease-to-own options.
Currently, Rick serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Association of Local Housing Finance Agencies and the Texas Affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers, as well as the National Association of Local Housing Finance Agencies’ Legislative Committee. He is also certified as a Housing Development Finance Professional (HDFP) from the National Development Council (NDC).
